MoneyRabbit is a bill-splitting and expense-tracking app operated by ZFlash Studios ("we", "us"). This policy explains what MoneyRabbit collects, why, and what control you have over it. It covers the MoneyRabbit mobile apps and web app only.
We use it to operate the app: to keep your expenses in sync across your devices, calculate balances between you and the people you split with, produce budgets and insights, send notifications you have asked for, provide support, prevent abuse, and meet our legal obligations. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your financial data for advertising.
Some MoneyRabbit features rely on third-party AI models. When you use them, the relevant content is sent to the provider to generate a response:
These features are provided using Anthropic (Claude) and Google (Gemini). Content is sent only when you use an AI feature, is processed to return a result to you, and under our agreements with these providers it is not used to train their models. If you would rather not have your data processed this way, simply do not use the AI features; the rest of MoneyRabbit works without them.
MoneyRabbit Premium is sold through the Apple App Store and Google Play. Those stores act as merchant of record: they process your payment, hold your billing details and manage renewals and refunds under their own terms and privacy policies. We receive only the subscription status and transaction identifiers needed to unlock Premium on your account. You can manage or cancel a subscription at any time in your App Store or Play Store account settings.
MoneyRabbit is a shared-expense app. When you split an expense with someone or add them to a group, that person can see the expense details you entered, the amounts owed, and your name and profile photo. Deleting a shared expense removes it for everyone involved. Please only add information you are comfortable sharing with the people you split with.
We use a small number of processors, each acting on our instructions:
We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety and security of our users and our service.
We operate from Singapore and our providers process data in various countries, including the United States and the European Union. Where personal data leaves your country we rely on the safeguards offered by those providers, including standard contractual clauses.
We keep your information for as long as your account is active.
You can delete your account at any time from within the app: Profile & settings โ Delete my account. This permanently removes your account and personal data. You can also request deletion by emailing us at the address below; we will verify the request from your registered email address and complete it within 30 days.
Some records may be retained for a limited period where we are legally required to keep them, and expenses you shared with other people may remain visible to those people as part of their own records.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to complain to your local data protection authority. Contact us using the details below and we will respond within the time limits that apply.
Data is encrypted in transit, access to production systems is restricted, and authentication is handled by Google Firebase so we never hold your password. No service can promise perfect security, but we work to protect your information and will notify you and the relevant authorities if a breach affects you.
MoneyRabbit is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has provided us with data, contact us and we will delete it.
If we make material changes we will update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Continuing to use MoneyRabbit after a change means you accept the updated policy.
